A joke-writing machine, his comedy is as fresh as the bread out of that swanky bakery that’s just opened up in Kilmainham and that we’re all fierce proud of and hope it stays around or otherwise we’ll end up with Dublin 8’s 1000th betting-shop.Fred CookeRecognisable to many as Fergus from the Spar ads and Fred from the Republic of Telly, Fred has a lot more strings to his bow. He’s recently sold out Vicar Street, played Slane with Ham Sandwich. He is an outstanding comedian with huge energy on stage and he even does requests with his melodicas. Don’t take our word for it – Tommy Tiernan says: “I love Fred, he has the spirit of the clown about him”. Niamh MarronNiamh Marron was a firm favourite with the Inn Jokes crowd when she played a year ago. Coming from the fertile comedy pastures of Monaghan, Niamh is an exciting, hilarious and energetic performer and is making waves. Last year she was runner up in the Funny Women Competition and since then has become a regular guest on BBC NI’s Monumental.
