Knowing You, Knowing Me - Pork Street Special

As we mentioned the other day, we have some fantastic funnies coming to you all from Pork Street.

We spoke to Damon Blake about Pork Street and what they are all about.

Who is pork Street?

Pork Street is a group of comedians who work together to make things. Our headquarters (you could say office, I say headquarters) is a former sausage and bacon factory on Cork Street, hence the name.

Who is involved?

I am. I definitely am, I have witnesses and alibis. At the moment there’s six of us all connected via the RTE New Comedy Awards; Tom O’Mahony, Jim Elliott, Rob Stears, Colin Chadwick and Alison Spittle. We also have guests actors and writers who have been contributing to what we do.

What is your favourite video you guys done so far?

My favourite videos have been the horror/comedy webseries we’ve done called Vampire Lawyers about a group of lawyers who are incidentally vampires. The finale goes up this week and is surprisingly violent. I think it’s pretty cool and cost us €4 in tea lights to make. Our most popular has been An American Reads The Irish National Anthem.

Colin Chadwick is going to Twerk soon right?

With that junk in the trunk and us ready for his jelly, I’d be surprised if he didn’t.

Do you have a facebook page?

It’s Facebook.com/PorkStCom and I use it to post farming related pictures on Fridays for the culchies to print out and look at on their way home.

We do tweet and more importantly follow back from Twitter.com/PorkStCom. My cousin is 8 and has like 12,000 followers because she mentioned One Direction, we’re waiting to ride the crest of the next boyband.

Cresting is a sex thing, as far as I understand.

If you were to create a video with anyone ‘famous’ who would it be with and why?

We’d love to do something with Larry Gogan because if you hear his voice in person a good nights sleep is guaranteed.

Any future videos we can know about?

We’ve a romantic comedy trailer coming out that will delight and another video involving drunks which I think you’ll find super good, if you know what’s super good for ya.
