We have been working really hard to add some more blogs to our site for all you amazing followers.

What is the name of your blog

Honest To Blog.

How did you come up with the blog?

I began blogging while studying Journalism at University. I started it on a whim, thinking at the very least it would allow me to develop my writing skills. I imagined it would fizzle out after one or two posts, but almost two years later and here I am.

You were nominated for this year’s Blog Awards, how did that feel?

It really is very flattering to be listed alongside such talented bloggers. I still find it hard to believe that anyone takes the time to read the crap I write, never mind actually enjoys it.

Do you have any future plans for the blog?

At the moment I have no plans other than continuing with the blog. However, I did recently receive an email about meeting with a group of Journalism study abroad students to discuss blogging. This is something I’m very eager to do. Blogging is a fantastic hobby which too many are afraid to take up and if me saying ah go on, go on, go on, can persuade someone else to take the plunge then I’m happy.

Your blogs are ‘Honest’ does it ever get too honest?

No, I don’t think so. Although my blog is centred around my understanding of the world and I do at times call a spade a spade, I do feel it’s important that people recognise that my blog isn’t to be taken entirely serious. I think it’s very important to remember that 80% of it is based on sarcasm and irony and therefore to be taken lightly. It has been nominated under the category ‘Best humour blog’ and personally, my favourite kind of humour is honest and to the point and that’s what I try to get across.

Do you do the illustrations yourself?

I know it looks like the work of a blind five year old but no, all my feeble attempts at art are done by yours truly using paint on my laptop.

If you were to do a blog about anyone else, who would it be and why?

The mysterious homeless guy who lives in a cardboard box near my apartment. Just to see what his deal is. Well, you did ask…

10. If a tree falls in the forest and noone is around to hear it, does it really make a sound?

I believe so, I once saw a bush fall over and a man fell out of it and his name. It made a weird groan sound and e stumbled home….I think that is the right answer.
